TURNING IN CIRCLES

Jeff Soto opened up his inaugural museum exhibition the other night, entitled Turning in Circles. The show featured some of the Southern California product’s latest pop surrealism artwork. With a year in the making, every piece reflected Soto’s massive effort and labour of love for the genre into an impressive array of imagination and talent. Turning in Circles will remain open until February 21st, 2009 in Jeff’s hometown of Riverside.

BW TWISTED MAXIES..

UK sneaker customizer Nash cooks up another pair of Nike’s with his unique custom style. Rather than painting swooshes and adding materials, Nash dives into the seams of each sneaker reconstructing various panels almost completely transforming the sneaker into a hybrid of sorts. His latest pair features an Air Max BW with a moccasin stitched toebox, custom tongue and even lace grommets.

Nike has just released a new colorway to add to their Air Max 1 SP collection, which were previously thought of hitting select retailers in early 2009. These Air Max 1 Premiums will have Nike’s trademark safari print and light grey, black and white color schemes with a black leather collar.

It's about time they made a film about this martial arts legend "ip man" this is the man who brought wing chun to new levels by braking tradition and starting a school and teaching groups of people instead of only being able to teach one student.He is the sifu (master) of bruce lee which is saying alot in its self....
Synopsis:
In the 1930s, Foshan thrives as the hub of Chinese wushu, with various sects actively recruiting disciples. They often compete against each other to prove their strengths.

While Yip Man is an accomplished martial artist, he is unassuming and keeps a low-profile, and doesn't run any martial arts school nor accept students. He only stays at home, quietly sparring with his compatriots in friendly competitions, swapping pointers with each other.

One day, Yip Man (Donnie Yen) is challenged by Master Liao (Chen Zhi Hui), who just set up a wushu school, in a closed match. Yip Man's buddy Martial Zealot Lin (Xing Yu), who witnessed the entire fight, tells everyone about Master Liu losing. Seeing it as a public humiliation, Master Liao gets into disputes with Yip Man.

Henchmen of Jin Shan Zhao (Fan Siu Wong) are going around challenging various wushu schools in Foshan. In one fight, Martial Zealot Lin is mortally wounded. Yip Man comes to his rescue, only to be stopped by Jin Shan Zhao. Everyone gathers around to watch the match whereby Ip Man dispenses the latter with ease using four Wing Chun Forms: fist, footwork, blade and cudgel.

Ip Man becomes an instant hero and there develops a craze for Wing Chun in Foshan.

Following Japanese invasion in 1937, everyone's life is adversely affected. Yip Man's property is confiscated and his family is forced to live in a decrepit house. Being one with strong pride, Ip Man refuses charity from his wealthy friend Zhou Qing Quan (Simon Yam), owner of a cotton mill, opting instead to work as a coolie at a coal mine to sustain his family.

One day, General Miura (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi), together with his troops, arrives. As a fanatical practitioner in martial arts himself, he sets up an arena, offering rice as a reward. However, to another high-ranking Japanese officer Sato's (Shibuya Tenma) mind, they cannot afford to lose, they must preserve Japanese superiority and dignity.

Eagerly taking up the challenge, Martial Zealot Lin makes use of the opportunity to demean the Japanese...

Curating his second exhibition at The Showroom in NYC, Bronx graf legend COPE2 presents “Top Of The Line” opening up this Thursday December the 4th. The group show definitely lives up to its title featuring the works of Futura, Sharp, Shepard Fairey, Fafi, Siloette, Revok, Can2, and Ron English. “Top Of The Line” is scheduled to be open until December 9th, 2008. JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS..

Went for a paint last week,omg it was just one of those days when nothing seems to go right.Started the day early so we could have time to paint,but before we could paint we had to go to my mates so he could pick up his paint as we were there he wanted to print out a cazza that he wanted to do....turn out the printer isn't workin so after god knows how long... we leave and get to the spot at a bit after 1pm, then its a 15min walk to the wall.As we get to the wall i realised that i have left some paint and the sketch in the car..so there goes another half an hour of walkin to and from.
When i get back the wall had been rolled, we didn't have much time as it's winter here so its getting dark early,so we had to paint quickly.So paintin begins and then...when i thought things couldn't get worse every can we used was fucked they where delaying or the paint was like silly string..fuckin ironlak.. even the black red montana black was runny..so we finish up get flicks and they look ok..

Then my mate send me flicks and there all blurred except one close up...it just had to happen after that bitch of a day.So here's the flick i will try to get some better ones..

Which reminds me that one night when i was out i saw this dude with this blonde 70's style hair cut that was wearing an worriors vest.So i started calling him Swan all night after a while and alot of wierd looks from the dude he asked me wot i was on about..Turns out the guy has never even seen The Worriors and didnt even know wot i was on about..ive only seen the game he said and my mum bought the vest for me..now that shit is played out..
